The Secondary School and Vocational Education Office of the Canton of Zurich (MBA) is committed to the interests of youth, politics, and business for the cantonal secondary and vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies. As a customer-oriented service provider, the "Digital" department, in collaboration with various internal and external partners, ensures a contemporary IT service. Currently, the future school administration solution is being developed as part of the major project "Kolibri." To strengthen the Kolibri project team, we are looking for a Test Manager with a workload of 80-100% to start immediately or by arrangement. The position is limited until 31.05.2031.
Your area of responsibility
With the organizational project Kolibri, the Secondary School and Vocational Education Office aims to replace the three existing school administration solutions of around 44 schools and to standardize the processes. With over 70,000 education participants, this major project is of strategic importance. In your role, you are responsible for test management within the project (functional, integration, system, and acceptance tests). You are responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring test activities as well as creating and maintaining the test concept. You analyze the test objectives together with the stakeholders and ensure resource planning for all activities. Furthermore, you are responsible for creating test cases, test completion reports, and all communication with internal and external stakeholders. You define and maintain the test infrastructure and support operational testing.
Your profile
You have a degree as an IT specialist EFZ in the fields of operations or systems, supplemented by a diploma from a higher technical school in computer science or have a comparable education. Several years of experience in test management of complex large projects as well as solid knowledge of test methods and tools (ISTQB certification is an advantage) distinguish you, ideally in public administrations or educational projects. You also have a pronounced service orientation and communication skills with all parties involved in test management. Your working style is systematic and solution-oriented, and you have a strong quality awareness. You communicate proactively, and collaboration in interdisciplinary teams is an enrichment for you. Good oral and written expression rounds off your profile.
