On behalf of the municipalities, the Cantonal Social Services Office fulfils the task of providing social and addiction support to individuals and assists them in accessing financial social assistance. To this end, it manages eight regional social services across the canton. The Prettigovia/Herrschaft/Fünf Dörfer Social Service is responsible for 18 municipalities, serving a population of 43,000 people.
Social counselling, addiction support and financial assistance (gr.ch)
For the Landquart office, we are seeking a social worker for 1 January 2027 or a date to be agreed.
- Solution- and resource-oriented social counselling for individuals and families facing difficult life situations related to various issues
- Counselling for people affected by addiction and their families
- Counselling and financial support for persons with S protection status from Ukraine accommodated in individual housing
- Ensuring access to social insurance benefits as well as financial social assistance
- Collaboration with social authorities and specialised services
- Other varied, interesting and responsible tasks
- Completed training as a social worker BSc/SUP or equivalent qualification
- Aptitude for working with people from different social backgrounds and/or cultural origins
- Strong counselling skills as well as solid specialised knowledge in addiction counselling, social assistance law and social insurance
- Affability, ability to cope with intense work rhythms, team spirit, good communication, organisational and administrative skills
- Ideally good knowledge of foreign languages
- Independent and solution-oriented working method
