The Villa Merian and the Restaurant Iris are nestled in the idyllic nature of the Merian Gardens and offer our guests unforgettable experiences – whether for a small break in the countryside, creative seminars, or a delightful lunch.
The Villa Merian offers a charming bistro and café experience with seminar and banquet rooms.
The Restaurant Iris is our all-day open casual dining restaurant and the meeting point for guests, convincing with regional and creative dishes.
For our Villa Merian, we are looking for an experienced service professional who, in addition to managing their own station, takes on the operational daily responsibility and co-manages the establishment organisationally. During the winter season or as needed, you will support our team in Restaurant Iris – both in à-la-carte service and at banquets and events.
This offers you a varied year-round position in two unique establishments within the Merian Gardens.
Your tasks:
Villa Merian (main place of work)
- Operational daily responsibility in service
- Organisation and coordination of the daily service process
- Allocation of service stations and staff
- Preparation and control of daily seminar and banquet functions
- Ensuring mise en place and service quality
- Checking refrigerators, materials, and consumables (e.g. napkins, placemats, etc.)
- Independent management of your own station including cash handling
- Active participation in à-la-carte and banquet service
- Restaurant Iris (winter season / support)

Ensuring our service and quality standards
You bring with you:
- Completed training in gastronomy or several years of service experience
- Experience in upscale service
- First leadership experience or great organisational talent
- Independent and structured working style
- Host mentality and joy in guest contact
- Resilience, flexibility, and team spirit
- Very good German skills, additional languages are an advantage
