To complement our team, we are looking for a special needs educator for our kindergarten starting 1 August 2026.
Special Needs Educator, Siblingen School, Cycle 1, approx. 30%
Our job description
- You will accompany two integrated special needs children in their school day. Together with the teachers, assistants, families and specialist agencies, you will develop solutions that enable participation and promote development. Some children do not need someone to solve everything for them. They need people who give them security, remain calm and support them at the right moment. In our kindergarten, you will accompany children with special needs in the everyday life of the mainstream school. You help to ensure that they can participate in lessons, find orientation and experience their place in the class. In doing so, you work closely with teachers and other professionals.
We expect from you
- Training in Special Needs Education (HfH) or many years of pedagogical experience in the school sector;
- EDK-recognised qualification is an advantage
- Enjoyment of integrative work and genuine relationship building
- Patience, ability to reflect and a clear, appreciative manner
- Independence, resilience and the ability to bring different people together
We offer you
- a good working atmosphere in a small motivated team
- a modern infrastructure and a supportive school authority
- a role with visible impact in the daily life of younger children
- interdisciplinary collaboration instead of working alone
- professional exchange with teachers, therapists and specialist agencies
- training opportunities on topics such as ADHD, autism or challenging behaviour
- the opportunity to actively help shape integrative school development in the canton of Schaffhausen
- contemporary employment conditions according to cantonal personnel law
