The Prendre Soin et Accompagner Residences (RPSA) are closely linked to the Geneva State Provident Fund (CPEG) as it is their shareholder and property owner. Through a private law foundation and two limited liability companies (Sàrl), all three non-profit, RPSA's mission is to operate buildings for elderly people and offer services adapted to their level of autonomy and security needs.

Social Worker - Head of Resident Management Service 100% - Grade 17 - Permanent Contract
In this role, you will devote the majority of your activity to supporting and managing the affairs of the Residents, while assuming a local leadership role within the team.
Job description
You will ensure the administrative, social and financial management of residents' affairs, respecting their rights, interests and autonomy. You will support them and their relatives in the necessary procedures and work closely with the various professionals and partners involved.
Alongside this field activity, you will devote part of your time to supervising and coordinating a small team, under the responsibility of the service director.
In this capacity, you will notably be required to:
- Assess the social, administrative and financial situation of residents upon entry and during their stay, to identify their needs, resources and risks, and anticipate difficulties that may impact their social or financial situation;
- Analyse complex situations and develop appropriate social support strategies;
- Implement preventive measures to avoid precariousness or loss of rights and intervene in at-risk situations, particularly in cases of hardship, non-payment or isolation;
- Seek concrete solutions to encountered problems, notably by mobilising existing resources, financial aid and networks, and propose measures to sustainably secure residents' situations;
- Offer individualised support to residents facing social, family or adaptation difficulties, ensuring an accessible presence on site and encouraging the expression of their needs;
- Advise and support residents and their relatives in their procedures as well as in sensitive or crisis situations;
- Ensure the maintenance of social rights and regular updating of situations by preparing, submitting and following up requests with competent bodies (supplementary benefits, disability insurance, old-age and survivors' insurance/pension fund, health insurance, OCPM, debt enforcement office, protection court, social assistance, etc.);
- Compile files and ensure their follow-up until completion, including renewals and requests for financial aid or specific support, in collaboration with the administrative secretary;
- Collaborate with protection authorities, curators and institutional partners and maintain an external network to facilitate access to resources and appropriate solutions;
- Work closely with the administrative secretary and the resident accounting department to ensure coordinated management of situations and follow-up of financial issues, particularly in cases of non-payment;
- Participate in the integration and discharge processes of residents, ensuring continuity of their social support;
- Maintain and ensure traceability of social files, draft necessary correspondence and guarantee confidentiality of information, accuracy of data as well as compliance with legal and institutional frameworks;
- Organise and supervise the Resident Management team, coordinate its activities and support staff in fulfilling their responsibilities, fostering a work environment based on collaboration, communication and skills development;
- Ensure, in collaboration with the service director, the consistency of practices and quality of services across all sites, and report situations likely to affect operation, organisation or service quality;
- Participate in the coordination and organisation of residences within an interdisciplinary dynamic and actively collaborate with other managers and services of the institution;
- Contribute to the evolution of practices and processes and lead or participate in projects related to your field of activity, as well as institutional initiatives regarding quality and social and environmental responsibility.
Your profile
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work from HES-SO with a Social Service option or equivalent qualification;
- Proven professional experience in the social field, ideally 7 to 10 years;
- Experience in supporting elderly people or in a medico-social environment is an asset;
- Knowledge of the Geneva social network;
- Experience in coordinating or supervising a team;
- Certificate in local management or equivalent training, desired;
- Knowledge in administrative, financial and/or accounting fields, desired;
- Excellent command of French, both spoken and written;
- Good command of common IT tools; knowledge of SADIES software is an asset.
