McDonald's, the world's largest restaurant chain, is an innovative and people-oriented company backed by a leading multinational brand. Currently, there are 189 McDonald's restaurants in Switzerland, run by 46 independent entrepreneurs (franchisees).

Because our business is growing fast, we are looking for talented people to strengthen our main offices that provide support to all restaurants.

The McDonald's Switzerland IT Team manages the planning, deployment and operation of restaurant and corporate technology across the country. The planning function supports key activities including project management, vendor coordination, budgeting and contract negotiations.

We are seeking a consultant with a strong interest in technology who will collaborate closely with internal IT teams, functional leads, and our wider restaurant and operator community.

Technology Consultant

Area of Responsibility

• Partner with internal technology leadership & cross-functional team to support and organise different work streams
  
• Manage vendor relationships, as part of a three-legged stool to ensure progress in win-win objectives and ensure contractual terms are being respected and updated
  
• Lead the Technology internal budget and recharges to independent restaurant owners
  
• Work on acquisition of hardware and software, and empower or contract with partners that deliver these products
  
• Appropriately manage system risk within partner and planning landscape
  
• Oversee reporting and KPI measurements across the business
  
• Create, implement and operate planning and vendor management standards
  
• Act as a facilitator inside the IT Department to level up the cohesion and collaboration
  
• Respond to, and ensure processes exist to manage and handle scenarios of critical business impact
  
• Translate key technology messages to the business
  
• Govern hardware catalogue and technical stock management across the system
  

Qualifications

Experience & Knowledge

• 5+ Years of experience in a comparable role within a (or multiple) enterprise IT Environments
  
• Masters Level or Equivalent in Business Management
  
• Ability to lead key IT services and a proven track record of meeting key deliverables
  
• Capable analysis skills with ability to provide a "big-picture" view and grasping ground level details as necessary
  
• Excellent communication skills with external stakeholders
  
• Excellent understanding of quality levels, SLA's and Service Objectives
  
• Flexibility to work within a rapidly changing environment
  
• Knowledge of DevOps standards with a focus on planning and partner management
  
• Significant planning & organisational skills to manage complex quantities of interacting technologies
  
• Management skills
  
• English (Written and Verbal), French or German (Written and Verbal), Optionally Italian (Written and Verbal)
  

Knowledge & Skills

• Good understanding of Budget & Finance
  
• Project Management certifications a + (PMP, Prince 2)
  
• Capacity of negotiation with external partners and suppliers
  
• Ability to conduct Business reviews / governance discussions with external partners and suppliers
  
• Administrative skills (contracts & process review)
  
• Familiarity with industry standards for enterprise IT operations
  
• Able to drive results with great independence, whilst ensuring alignment with strategic priorities
