Research Associate (PostDoc) in the Field of Sensors for Automated Driving
In the Department of Chemical Energy Carriers and Vehicle Systems, we research how road mobility and energy supply of the future can be designed more efficiently and with lower climate and environmental impact. In close contact with science, industry, and authorities, we investigate relevant questions and develop new technical solutions.
Your Tasks
- Development and validation of aging models for main sensor technologies in the field of automated driving.
- Simulation-based assessment of the effects of sensor aging on environmental perception and the safety of automated driving functions.
- Development and validation of testing procedures for aged sensor systems.
- Preparation of project reports and publication of results in scientific journals and at international conferences.
- Supervision of students.
Your Profile
- Completed doctorate in robotics or a related field.
- Experience in sensors for automated driving as well as in processing and analyzing sensor data.
- Willingness and interest to delve into new topics or deepen existing knowledge.
- Strong analytical and project management skills and the ability to recognize needs, develop effective solutions, and lead projects to completion.
- Interest in collaborating in smaller, interdisciplinary project teams with research and industry partners.
- Good knowledge of German.
