Presentation
The Culture and Scientific Mediation Service (SCMS) aims to share academic knowledge with the general public, stimulate reflection, curiosity, and dialogue with citizens. Through various cultural and scientific mediation programmes led by its two flagship brands - L’éprouvette (UNIL Science and Society Laboratory) and La Grange (UNIL Arts and Sciences Centre), it contributes to the development and enrichment of the scientific, cultural, and artistic life of the region.
The Culture and Scientific Mediation Service of the University of Lausanne is offering a position for:
Intern for the Fécule Festival
Your mission
In close collaboration with the Fécule Festival project manager, you will participate in managing the administrative and organisational aspects of the Festival and in implementing communication and cultural mediation actions.
The 2027 edition of the Fécule Festival will take place from 3 to 15 May 2027 and is an opportunity for more than 300 students, staff, or associations (from UNIL, EPFL, and other universities) to present their artistic work in a professional theatre. The festival punctuates campus life by unfolding at the La Grange plateau, the Nucleo, and through outdoor proposals. Plateau edges and mediation projects are highlighted to extend the experience beyond the performances.
Position information
Start date: 1 November 2026
Contract duration: 7 months (fixed-term contract)
Work rate: 10% from 1 November 2026 to 31 May 2027, increasing to 80% from 1 to 15 May 2027
Workplace: UNIL – Dorigny
Internship paid according to UNIL scales: link to scales
Your profile
• University-level training at bachelor or master level preferred;
• Good organisational and planning skills;
• Excellent oral and written command of French;
• Interpersonal skills and tact;
• Strong interest in cultural environments.
Position conditions
Position at 10%, increasing to 80% during the two weeks of the Fécule Festival 2027, to support the organisation and smooth running of events.
