About the job
Modern medicine, a collegial environment and rooms to feel comfortable in: In the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, you will find a spacious, excellently equipped medical centre with interdisciplinary collaboration and special retreat areas for staff. A general practitioner position in Switzerland that also offers a lot beyond the consultation room.
Here you will encounter a traditional, family-run medical practice in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley, which has been passed down through generations within the family. Since 2022, the established practice has been housed in a spacious, modern new building.
The spacious, bright practice rooms offer high-quality medical infrastructure and a working environment that also considers the needs of the staff.
The interdisciplinary team includes around eleven medical specialists from primary care as well as other specialties such as cardiology, orthopaedics and rheumatology. They are supported by a large team of medical practice assistants (MPA), including medical practice coordinators.
In addition to around seven consultation rooms, there are facilities such as a laboratory, ultrasound, X-ray and an automated medication robot. A special feature is the separate staff rooms with kitchen, communal dining area, cosy sofa corner and shower facilities. An additional room is also used for the care of employees' children.
My personal impression:
I had the opportunity to visit the practice, speak with the owner and get a personal impression of the premises during a tour. What impressed me most was the great value placed here on a pleasant working environment. The modern equipment is one thing – the spacious lounges and retreat areas for staff are another. I have rarely seen such facilities in a medical practice. My impression on site was extremely positive. I can very well imagine that one feels comfortable here in the long term.
The practice is located in the rural St. Gallen Rhine Valley, between Lake Constance and the Alps. The proximity to Austria, Liechtenstein and the German Lake Constance region also makes this location interesting for doctors considering a move to Eastern Switzerland or cross-border living.
