In connection with our electronic offerings, especially our website, we use techniques that store data (in particular technical data such as browser type and browser version, operating system used, referrer URL, hostname of the accessing computer, time of the server request, and other technical data) by means of logging. These data cannot be assigned to specific persons. A merging of these data with other data sources does not take place. Furthermore, we use other techniques such as cookies, with which we and third parties engaged by us can recognise you during your use, record your behaviour, and identify preferences. Cookies are small files transmitted between your system and the server that enable the recognition of a specific device or browser. Essentially, it is about distinguishing your accesses (via your system) from accesses of other users so that we can ensure the functionality of the website and carry out evaluations and personalisations. Cookies help in many ways to make your visit to our website simpler, more pleasant, and more meaningful.

We do not intend to infer your identity from the technical data we collect or from the cookies. However, personal data that we or third-party providers commissioned by us store about you, especially if you have a user account with us or these providers, can be linked with the technical data or with the information stored in cookies and derived from them, and thus possibly with your person.

With the help of our Cookie Consent Manager, you can deactivate cookies that are not technically necessary for the operation of our website by choosing "Reject" or by deactivating the cookie categories "Statistics" and "Marketing" under "View settings" and confirming with "Save settings." You can also configure your browser to block, simulate, or delete certain cookies or alternative techniques. Currently, we use services from the following third-party providers:

9.1 Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics (hereinafter "Google Analytics"), a web analytics service from Google Ireland Limited, Google Building Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland, or Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Pkwy, Mountain View, CA 94043-1351, USA (hereinafter "Google"). Google Analytics uses methods that allow analysis of the use of our website, e.g., cookies. These generate information about your use of the website, such as:

• Navigation path of visitors to our website;
• Duration of stay on the website (including subpages);
• The subpage on which the website is exited;
• The country, region, or city from which access to our website is made;
• The device used (type, version, colour depth, resolution, width and height of the browser window);
• Browser provider (including version) and the operating system used;
• Whether it is a returning or new visitor;
• The website visited before visiting our website (referrer URL);
• Hostname of the accessing computer (IP address); and
• Time of the server request.

This information is transmitted to Google servers in the USA and stored there. The IP address is shortened by activating IP anonymisation ("anonymizeIP") on our website before transmission within the member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area, as well as in Switzerland. The anonymised IP address transmitted by your browser within the scope of Google Analytics is not merged with other data from Google. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. In these cases, we ensure through contractual guarantees, especially through the agreement of the EU standard contractual clauses and additional measures, that Google complies with an adequate level of data protection.

We use this information to evaluate the use of our website, to create reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website and internet usage for market research and to design our website according to needs. Google may transfer this information to third parties if required by law or to the extent that third parties process these data on behalf of Google. According to Google, the IP address will never be associated with other user-related data.

You can deactivate the collection of data generated by cookies (including the IP address) relating to the use of the website by Google and the processing of these data by Google using our Cookie Consent Manager (see section 9 above for more information) or by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de. In this case, an opt-out cookie is stored on your device. If you delete cookies, the link must be clicked again.

9.2 Google reCAPTCHA

To verify whether data entry (e.g., in a contact form) is made by a human or an automated programme, our website uses reCAPTCHA from Google. For this purpose, the behaviour of website users is analysed based on various features. reCAPTCHA evaluates various information for the analysis, especially IP address, duration of the user's stay on our website, or mouse movements made by the user. The data collected during the analysis are transmitted to Google.

You can deactivate data processing by reCAPTCHA using our Cookie Consent Manager (see section 9 above for more information).

9.3 Google Tag Manager

To manage cookies and pixels for tracking tools and other tools, we use Google Tag Manager, a service from Google, on our website. The Tag Manager tool is a cookie-free domain and does not collect personal data. However, it triggers other tags that may collect personal data. If you have deactivated tracking at the main or cookie level, this remains in effect for all tracking tags implemented with Google Tag Manager.

You can deactivate data processing by Google Tag Manager using our Cookie Consent Manager (see section 9 above for more information).

9.4 Google Maps

We use the Google Maps API (Application Programming Interface; hereinafter "Google Maps") from Google on our website for the visual representation of geographical information (maps). By using Google Maps, information about the use of our website, including the IP address of website users, is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

You can deactivate Google Maps using our Cookie Consent Manager (see section 9 above for more information). Additionally, you can deactivate Google Maps by disabling JavaScript in your browser. In both cases, however, you will not be able to use the map display.

9.5 YouTube

On our website, we use plugins from YouTube, a video portal from YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA, a subsidiary of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. We use this plugin to enhance the user experience through videos.

Each time a page offering one or more YouTube video clips is accessed, a direct connection is established between your browser and a YouTube server in the USA. Information about your visit and your IP address is stored. Interactions with the YouTube plugins (e.g., clicking the start button) are also transmitted to YouTube and stored by YouTube. If you have a YouTube user account and do not want YouTube to collect data about you via this website and link it with your membership data stored at YouTube, you must log out of YouTube before visiting this website.

Furthermore, YouTube calls the Google Analytics analysis tool via an iFrame in which the video is called (see section 9.1). This is YouTube's own tracking, to which we have no access. You can block YouTube and the corresponding tracking by Google Analytics using our Cookie Consent Manager (see section 9 above for more information).

9.6 Google Web Fonts

To ensure uniform display of fonts, we use so-called Web Fonts on our website, a service from Google. When a page is called up, your browser loads the required Web Fonts into its browser cache to display texts and fonts correctly. This transmits to the Google server which of our internet pages you have visited. The IP address of the browser of the visitor's device is also stored by Google. If your browser does not support Web Fonts, a standard font from your computer is used.

9.7 TeamViewer Plugin

For remote support, we use the software and services of TeamViewer Germany GmbH, Bahnhofsplatz 2, 73033 Göppingen, Germany. You can download this software on the homepage of our website by selecting the TeamViewer plugin, which redirects you to the provider's download website. This software allows us to connect to your PC or server to provide the support you requested, with the connection running via servers of TeamViewer GmbH. By using remote support with TeamViewer, you consent to the associated processing of personal data.

9.8 Complianz (Consent Management Plugin)

We use the cookie consent plugin from Complianz B.V., Kalmarweg 14-5, 9723 JG Groningen, Netherlands (hereinafter "Complianz"), on our website to obtain your consent for storing certain cookies in your browser or for using certain technologies and to document this consent in compliance with data protection regulations. To assign the given consents or their revocation to you, a Complianz cookie is stored in your browser when you use our website. This cookie stores the consents you have given or their revocation. Complianz is hosted locally on our servers, so no connection to the servers of the aforementioned Complianz provider is established.
