You have recently completed your specialist qualification in intensive care medicine and now wish to take on more responsibility? At the same time, you want to continue regularly applying your experience in anaesthesiology?
This senior consultant role allows you to combine both specialties. Your focus will be on caring for critically ill patients in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit. As a specialist in anaesthesiology, you can also contribute to the anaesthesia team. The exact division of duties will be agreed upon with you.
The regionally anchored acute hospital has around 100 beds and ensures extended basic care for the population. Its manageable size creates short decision-making paths and close collaboration between intensive care medicine, anaesthesiology, the surgical and medical departments, and nursing.

Your responsibilities:
- Independent care of critically ill patients in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit
- Application of common intensive care diagnostic, monitoring, and therapeutic procedures
- Participation in the intensive care unit’s on-call and background duties
- Depending on the agreed working model, collaboration within the anaesthesia team
- Close cooperation with the medical and surgical departments as well as intensive care nursing
- Professional supervision of assistant doctors
- Participation in internal training and clinical case discussions
- Contribution to the further development of intensive care processes and structures
Your qualifications:
- Federal or Swiss-recognised specialist qualification in intensive care medicine and specialist qualification in anaesthesiology
- Suitable next step even immediately after obtaining the specialist qualification in intensive care medicine
- Confidence in common intensive care procedures
- Enjoyment of independent clinical work and interprofessional collaboration
- Participation in the intensive care duty system including background duties
- Responsible, team-oriented, and reliable personality
