To strengthen our team, we are looking for an HR Generalist (m/f/d) 100% starting immediately or by arrangement.

You will independently manage the human resources of Volkshaus Basel with around 60 FTE and be the central contact person for our employees and managers. In doing so, you combine reliable administration with personal advice and the continuous development of our processes.

Your mission

• Comprehensive personnel administration from entry to exit: recruitment, onboarding, personnel files, master data, absence management, references and departures
• Central contact person for employees and managers on personnel-related issues as well as support for more complex personnel cases in coordination with the General Manager
• Coordination with the external payroll accounting and ensuring correct data transmission
• Ensuring compliance with labour law requirements, especially according to L-GAV and the Labour Act
• Responsibility for the maintenance and application of our time recording system Mirus 4.0
• Further development of processes, structures and digital tools as well as participation in personnel and training projects
• Co-design of our employer branding and a positive corporate culture
• Direct reporting to the General Manager

What makes you stand out

• Professional experience in human resources in the hotel and/or catering industry
• Further training in human resources is an advantage
• Good knowledge of L-GAV and the Swiss Labour Act (ArG)
• You enjoy a small, dynamic SME environment: you pitch in yourself, think pragmatically and appreciate close collaboration across departmental boundaries.
• Independent, structured and reliable working style with a good sense of priorities
• Strong social skills, service orientation and tact, even in demanding situations
• Discretion, loyalty and a sense of responsibility
• Confident use of MS Office; experience with Mirus is a great advantage
• Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written
