R&D Engineer Tribology & Materials (80%-100%)

Your Tasks

You will lead development projects as well as technical support tasks in the field of tribology. Your focus is on lubrication methods and the preparation of lubrication instructions for quartz factories. In doing so, you work closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure optimal solutions for friction and wear-related issues.

Additionally, you conduct characterisation analyses using optical profilometry and tribometry to precisely evaluate surface and friction parameters and support technical optimisations.

Furthermore, you provide technical support in your area of activity, both for the various internal departments and for the companies of the Swatch Group.

You have an engineering education at MASTER-HES level or an equivalent recognised qualification.

Ideally, you already have several years of professional experience in the field of tribology.

You are dynamic and creative, and your open and responsible personality distinguishes you. As a sociable person, you also place great value on constructive teamwork.

Your mother tongue is French or German. You have good knowledge of the other language or are motivated to learn it. Good English skills would also be an advantage.
