Within the DRYMET project, which researches the risks of heavy metals for drinking water quality, you will support the project leader in fieldwork as well as in the analysis of soil samples. Your tasks include regular field campaigns at the project sites in the forest in southern Switzerland, sampling soil solution and analyzing its chemical parameters, e.g., nutrient and trace element concentrations. In addition, you will support the setup and execution of experiments in the laboratory. You will analyze the data together with the project leader. In an open, collegial atmosphere, we offer you the opportunity to gain insights into various aspects of soil functions.
You have recently completed your bachelor's or master's degree in environmental sciences or chemistry and have initial practical experience in laboratory work. Willingness to do fieldwork and very good English or German skills are essential. A quick grasp and the ability to work independently characterize you.
