Geneva English School is seeking to appoint a Finance and Human Resources Assistant (50% position).
The successful applicant will report directly to the CFO and will assist in a variety of areas in the daily administration of Finance and HR functions.
The salary will be in the range of CHF 66 000 (per annum, full time equivalent).
This position is office-based in Genthod with flexible working arrangements.
KEY DELIVERABLES
1. Managing accounts payable
· Accurate inputting of data onto the invoicing system
- Processing purchase invoices
- Obtaining appropriate authorisations prior to transaction processing
- Assisting with queries
2. Managing HR requirements with authorities and insurance companies
- Processing work permits and family allowance claims with authorities
- Processing maternity leave and medical leave claims with insurance companies and authorities
- Filing all HR-related documentation
3. Supporting the CFO
- Providing general support and advice for invoicing
- Appropriate filing of all documentation
- Dealing with miscellaneous duties to assist in the smooth running of the department
KEY REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this role, you must have all of the following-
- Accounting experience, minimum 3 years, including accounts payable
- Fluency in English, and French to level B1 (oral and written)
- Swiss passport or valid work permit
SKILLS REQUIRED
- An understanding of the balance sheet, P&L and basic accounting principles, including the fundamentals of double-entry bookkeeping
- Computer literacy, Google Workspace and spreadsheets. Knowledge of GIT accounting software would be an advantage.
- Precision in entry of data, such as numbers, dates, and text, to create accurate records
- Previous experience of HR (operations support) in the canton of Geneva would be an advantage.
