The Hospital Network AR
The Hospital Network Appenzell Ausserrhoden, with the acute hospital Herisau and the Psychiatric Centre AR in Herisau, ensures extended basic medical care for the population in the canton of Appenzell Ausserrhoden and is also the first point of contact for a large part of the population in the surrounding region. Both locations are relevant for care within the canton and beyond.
We are looking for
In the Department of Surgery under the direction of Dr Martin Seifert, we are seeking a senior physician or consultant surgeon for a workload of 80-100%
Your tasks
- Independent care of inpatient and outpatient surgical patients
- Performing and assisting in surgical procedures according to your experience and qualifications
- Participation in the senior physician on-call system
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with all involved specialist departments
- Supervision and training of assistant doctors
- Active involvement in quality projects as well as in the further development of the clinic
Your profile
- Specialist title in surgery (FMH or equivalent recognition)
- Extensive experience in general and visceral surgery
- High professional competence as well as a patient-oriented working style
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration and training of young colleagues
- Sense of responsibility, initiative and organisational skills
- Strong team spirit and high social competence
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written
