About Our Client
For our client, a globally operating company in the life sciences and pharmaceutical sector, we are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist EMEA (m/w/d). Known for its international reach and commitment to operational excellence, this organization manages complex, multi-entity payroll environments across the EMEA region and sets industry standards in compliance and HR service delivery.
Your Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing for multiple assigned legal entities across EMEA, in full compliance with local legislation and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate expatriate and commuter payroll in close collaboration with Global Mobility teams and external service providers
- Manage payroll controls for SOX compliance and support internal and external audit processes
- Compile and submit all required approvals for bank payment transactions
- Respond to payroll-related enquiries from internal and external stakeholders, covering topics such as social insurance and taxation
- Collaborate with HR Shared Services, HR Business Partners and Centers of Excellence to optimize and standardize payroll and benefits administration processes
- Contribute to payroll reporting, including earnings statements, tax reports, and other relevant payroll documents
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and actively participate in cross-functional projects and working groups
Your Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a comparable payroll-related qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll processing within a multinational business environment, ideally covering multiple entities
- Hands-on experience with outsourced payroll provider models (e.g., ADP, Celergo) and HR systems such as Workday or SAP
- Strong planning and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential employee and financial data
- Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken); German is a plus
- Team-oriented mindset with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across international and cross-functional teams
