Position initially offered on a fixed-term contract with a view to permanence
G&F Châtelain, a branch of Chanel SARL, is Chanel’s watchmaking and jewellery manufacture in Switzerland. Responsible for developing, manufacturing and assembling the brand’s watches and jewellery, our site brings together a wide variety of trades combining artisanal know-how and cutting-edge technology.
You will join the Quality department teams as a Quality Representative.
Reporting to the Department Manager, you are the point of contact for the development and production teams for all questions related to product quality, both dimensionally and aesthetically.
Your impact at Chanel
At the heart of watchmaking and jewellery activities, the quality department guarantees the quality of all components and products purchased or manufactured, ensuring that each stage of the process is respected according to the defined standards.
Working collaboratively across departments, you act as a facilitator between operational teams and quality requirements.
All your activities to ensure optimal and effective monitoring:
Ensure the provision of necessary means for dimensional and aesthetic product control
Monitor the quality of new series until they are stocked
Be responsible for the proper application of established quality standards
Manage quality relations with subcontractors
Lead the problem-solving approach in the production sector
Drive quality indicators
Participate in continuous improvement projects
What you will bring
With a HES engineering profile or ES technician complemented by quality training, you have experience in a similar role, ideally in watchmaking or jewellery. You master quality management tools (8D, A3, QRQC). Proficiency in MS Office IT tools and statistical knowledge are a plus (MSP, capabilities, AQL tables).
Autonomous, proactive and rigorous in your work, you have a customer-oriented vision. You possess analytical and synthesis skills and are also recognised for your team spirit, initiative-taking and communication skills both orally and in writing.
