Service Technician Laboratory Technology (m/f/d)
Role:
In this role, you will maintain technically demanding laboratory automation systems and ensure their reliable operation at customer sites. You will independently carry out service and repair assignments, analyse complex faults, and develop sustainable solutions to optimise devices and system components. As a competent contact person, you will support customers and internal partners through technical advice, training, and professional remote support.
Responsibilities:
Performing second-level service assignments, repairs, and technical maintenance on laboratory automation systems
Analysing faults and systematically troubleshooting devices, assemblies, and software components
Technical support and optimisation of existing system solutions at the customer site
Parameterisation, configuration, and adaptation of devices, camera systems, and software applications
Supporting the commissioning of new laboratory devices and integration into existing IT infrastructures
Conducting technical training for customers and service technicians
Supporting international users through remote support and technical problem-solving
Documenting service work, analyses, and implemented optimisation measures
Regular travel within Switzerland as well as occasional assignments abroad in Europe
Qualifications:
Completed technical training in the fields of precision mechanics, electronics, automation, medical technology, or a comparable discipline
Further education at the level of Technician HF, Bachelor, or comparable qualification is an advantage
Experience in technical customer service, service environment, or support of complex systems
High IT affinity and confident handling of PC hardware, operating systems, and software applications
Knowledge in the field of laboratory, medical, or automation technology is an advantage
Independent, structured, and solution-oriented working style with strong customer focus
Communicative personality with enthusiasm for consulting and knowledge transfer
High willingness for national and international travel
Good English skills and French skills are an advantage
Fluent German skills
