About the job
Would you like to settle in as a general practitioner long-term without giving up personal freedom? In an established general practice in the Zurich Oberland, you will find an existing patient base, your own consultation room, and plenty of freedom in organising your working hours. Whether part-time or full-time – here you can balance your medical work with your private life.
For a long-established general practice in the Zurich Oberland, we are looking for a specialist in general internal medicine to strengthen the team in the long term. The practice is located in the greater Zurich area and is easily accessible by public transport.
You will work with an experienced general practitioner, two medical practice assistants (MPA), and an administrative manager. The practice is housed in a historic building with a special character and is equipped with a laboratory, X-ray, ECG, lung function diagnostics, and 24-hour blood pressure monitoring.
A long-established patient base with a high proportion of elderly people shapes the daily routine. The focus is on personal care, a continuous doctor-patient relationship, and sufficient time (up to 30 minutes per patient) for individual medical concerns.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent general medical care of an existing patient base, especially adults and elderly people
- Diagnosis, therapy, and long-term management of acute and chronic illnesses
- Conducting preventive examinations, minor surgical procedures, and in-practice diagnostic assessments
- Responsible organisation of your consultations with enough time for personal and thorough patient care
- Collegial cooperation with the general practitioner, the MPAs, and the administrative manager
Your skills:
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine / General Medicine or Practical Doctor
- Enjoyment of primary care and interest in long-term collaboration with an existing patient base
- Independent, empathetic, and patient-oriented working style as well as enjoyment of working in a small practice team
- German language skills at C1 level for secure communication with patients and the practice team
- For foreign qualifications: existing or sought MEBEKO recognition. We support you with advice and financially
Your benefits:
- Long-term perspective: In an established general practice with a grown patient base
- Flexible working hours: Whether exclusively mornings, full days, or an individual combination – organise your working week to suit your personal life situation
- Part-time or full-time possible: The workload is agreed together. Employment up to 100% is also possible
- Independent working: Your own consultation room and plenty of scope for organising your consultations allow for self-determined medical work
- Time for your patients: Personal care and detailed conversations are an integral part of general practice work
- Individual salary model: Optionally a fixed salary or a fixed salary with additional revenue sharing
- Supportive practice environment: Cooperation with two MPAs and an administrative manager, good accessibility by public transport, and a 42-hour week as a basis for full-time work
