Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities together with the municipal tax offices. We support individuals and businesses throughout the tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at our location in Zurich Altstetten.

As the deputy of the team leader for operations, you and your team ensure that our specialist applications and IT infrastructure function smoothly and continue to develop. At the same time, in the role of Application Manager, you take on operational responsibility for one or more specialist applications.

Your tasks:

• Together with the team leader, you lead the operations team in terms of expertise, personnel, and administration.
• You promote and shape the exchange within the department as well as with stakeholders and suppliers.
• As an Application Manager, you ensure the operational operation of the specialist applications for the employees involved in the tax collection process.
• You are responsible for the lifecycle management of your applications, including installation, migration, and configuration.
• Providing technical support to the service owners as well as creating and updating technical documentation are part of your daily business.

Your profile:

• Completed higher vocational training in the field of computer science or an equivalent qualification.
• Several years of practical experience in the operation of specialist applications within complex application landscapes.
• Willingness for continuous further education and openness to change.
• Additional certifications such as ITIL, HERMES, TOGAF SaFe, or Scrum are a plus.
• Recognized team player with a focus on service quality, digitization, and agility.
• Strong service orientation, methodological competence, and a convincing personality.
