Polyclinic, emergency, outpatient care, hospitalizations: from birth to old age, the Morges Hospital offers a wide range of care services. The facility has 240 acute care beds, a maternity ward with about 1,500 births per year, and nearly 30,000 emergency consultations. In total, more than 40 medical disciplines have been practiced within its walls for over 150 years. Surrounded by vineyards, with an incredible view of the mountains and the lake, Morges Hospital welcomes you in a warm and dynamic setting.
To strengthen our versatile maternity team at Morges Hospital, we are looking for a:
Midwife (M/F) at 60-100%
Start date as soon as possible or to be agreed upon, for a 1-year fixed-term contract.

YOU HAVE
- A Swiss midwife Bachelor or a double Bachelor of nurse and Swiss midwife or equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- Very good communication and listening skills as well as a sense of multidisciplinary teamwork
- An empathetic and open nature offering care to families based on kindness and respect
- Successful experience in a similar role or the desire to develop within an institution promoting skill development
YOUR OBJECTIVES
- Ensure the follow-up of women during scheduled or emergency gynecological consultations
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being during pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum
- Conduct labor and delivery monitoring autonomously in physiological situations and collaborate with the medical team in pathological situations
- Ensure the care of the newborn at birth
- Organize follow-up and support for the mother and child’s return home, including the partner
- Provide breastfeeding advice respecting the UNICEF "Baby-Friendly Hospital" label
- Participate in the supervision of HES midwife students, nurses, and paramedics in the Mother-Child service
