The Forests and Natural Hazards Office (UFP) is the cantonal specialised service for forests and protection against natural hazards. The employees of the UFP are committed to meeting society's needs regarding the forest and ensuring sustainable forest management.
You ensure that the Graubünden forest
- is capable of protecting people, animals and infrastructure,
- is a habitat for various animal and plant species,
- is a supplier of raw materials such as wood, water and energy,
- can also serve as a place of rest and recreation for people in the future.

- As a regional forest engineer, you will be responsible for the municipalities of Val Müstair, Zernez and Samnaun assigned to you: implementation of federal and cantonal forest legislation; ensuring the best possible fulfilment of forest functions
- As a specialist in forest and wildlife matters, you will lead the related projects in the southern Graubünden region: preparation of forest-wildlife reports; specialist analysis of surveys; acting as a member of the cantonal group of forest and wildlife specialists
- Degree as a PF or SUP forest engineer or a master’s in environmental sciences PF with specialisation in forest and landscape management
- Solid knowledge of silviculture
- Experience with good knowledge in the forest-wildlife sector is an advantage
- Good knowledge of several cantonal languages is an advantage
