For our client, an established Swiss industrial company in the fields of mechanical engineering, plant construction and packaging technology, we are looking for a structured, technically skilled and solution-oriented individual as an Electrical Design Engineer Mechanical Engineering 80-100% in the Wetzikon ZH area.
The company develops and realises high-quality machines and complete plant solutions for international customers from demanding industries. The focus is on innovative technologies, precise engineering processes and solutions that are used worldwide.
In this role, you take on a central role in the electrical design of machines, plants and control systems. You create electrical schematics, define components, maintain technical documentation and support projects from planning to implementation.
- Electrical design for machines, plants, controls and control cabinets
- Selection and definition of electrical components, sensors, actuators, drives and control elements
- Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, documents and project data
- Technical clarifications with engineering, automation, purchasing, control cabinet construction, assembly and suppliers
- Support during commissioning, tests, fault analyses and technical optimisations
- Adaptation and further development of existing electrical designs
- Participation in standardisations, standards, safety requirements and internal improvements
- Ensuring clean, standard-compliant and production-ready documentation
- Support of project management in electrical engineering matters
- Experience in electrical design, electrical planning, automation or control cabinet construction is an advantage
- Knowledge of an electrical CAD system, ideally EPLAN
- Understanding of machine controls, electrical schematics, standards and technical documentation
- Experience in mechanical engineering, plant construction, special machine construction or industrial environment is an advantage
- Knowledge in control technology, sensor technology, drive technology or safety technology is a plus
- Precise, structured and independent working style
- Enjoyment of collaboration with engineering, automation, assembly and project management
- Good German language skills in spoken and written form
- English skills are an advantage

Profile
