Job description
The Foundation for the operation of nursing homes for the elderly La Vespérale, founded in 1977, is a public law non-profit foundation. It manages two residences, La Poterie (73 residents) and Les Arénières (86 residents). The La Vespérale Foundation strives to create a respectful living environment for the residents, who are at the heart of the institution's mission. The Foundation is looking to complete its team with:
RESPONSIBLE DOCTOR
At the Poterie site
Main mission:
The responsible doctor is the main contact for a medical-social establishment (EMS). Their role is to ensure the quality, safety, and continuity of care for residents in collaboration with the care team and management.
Committed to the institution's project, they promote integration, adaptation, and the well-being of residents with respect, kindness, and dignity.
Main activities:
- Organisation of medical care: implements and supervises care protocols, including palliative care
- Coordination with health professionals: acts as a link between residents, their attending physicians, nurses, and other medical staff
- Supervision and monitoring of medical records: ensures they are updated and compliant
- Advising management: participates in strategic decisions and continuous improvement of care
- Training and support for care teams: contributes to staff skills development
The responsible doctor does not replace the residents' attending physician but is their medical referent within the EMS, ensuring appropriate care that meets public health challenges related to ageing.
Profile sought
Training and knowledge:
- Holder of a practice licence in the canton of Geneva and holding an FMH title
- Training in geriatrics and/or palliative care with at least 1 year of relevant experience
- Team spirit, professional rigour, and commitment to residents' peace of mind
- Ability to work in a network with various medico-social actors in the canton of Geneva
- Use of common IT tools and DIR-SADIES in particular
- Fluency in French, both spoken and written
