The General Secretariat is the leadership staff of the Director of Education and includes, in addition to the Human Resources Department, the areas of Political Planning and Communication, Specialist and Legal Services, Finance and IT, Construction, as well as Educational Planning. Here, the affairs and projects of the entire Education Directorate are coordinated.

For the leadership staff, we are looking for an Information Security Officer starting 01.01.2026. The position is currently limited to two years.

Your area of responsibility

• You develop the Information Security Management System (ISMS) of the Education Directorate in coordination with the Information Security Officer of the Directorate.
• You define security requirements and standards based on internal security policies and legal requirements.
• You develop policies, processes, and procedures based on cantonal guidelines to ensure sustainable information security within the Education Directorate.
• You take responsibility for information security in initiatives and projects of the Education Directorate – as a sparring partner, challenger, and guardian of security objectives.
• You support project teams in security matters and in the development and implementation of appropriate security measures.

Your profile

• You have a degree in computer science, information security, or a similar field, or can demonstrate a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience.
• You have several years of professional experience in the field of information security.
• You bring technical and organizational understanding in the field of information security.
• You have good knowledge of regulations and standards in the field of information security (e.g., ISO27xxx, NIST CSF) and their practical implementation.
• Ideally, you already hold certifications in information security management (e.g., CISM, CISSP, or comparable certification).
• Analytical thinking, target group-oriented communication, and independent work are not foreign to you.
• You have very good German skills in writing and speaking and good English skills.
• Experience in a public organization or administration is an advantage.
