Metal Construction Designer / Metal Construction Designer with Group Leadership Function

Do you want to technically co-design exciting metal construction projects and at the same time lead a team? At our location in Emmenmatt in the heart of the Emmental, an exciting leadership position awaits you with short decision-making paths and plenty of scope for design. As a committed and strong leadership personality, you combine sound expertise in metal construction with organisational talent and leadership skills. You take on group leadership, are responsible for the organisation of the specialist area and actively drive its further development. Together with your team, you ensure efficient and high-quality order processing.
These are the tasks
You take responsibility for the leadership and organisation of the metal construction group and combine your technical expertise with entrepreneurial thinking:
- Independent processing and constructive development of diverse metal construction projects from initial contact to billing
- Creation and checking of CAD drawings, workshop, detail and assembly plans as well as parts lists
- Technical and personnel management of employees in the metal construction department
- Organisation, coordination and prioritisation of orders and upcoming tasks
- Ensuring efficient work preparation as well as smooth processes between planning, workshop, assembly and project management
- Technical clarifications with customers, architects, site managers, suppliers and internal departments
- Monitoring of deadlines, quality and cost-effectiveness
- Responsibility for the further development of processes, structures and workflows in the specialist area
- Close cooperation with the department management and other specialist areas
What you bring with you
- Completed training as a metal construction designer EFZ or a comparable technical education
- Several years of professional experience in metal construction and sound knowledge in design
- Experience in leading employees or the corresponding leadership skills and a clear desire to take on a leadership role
- Confident handling of CAD systems and technical planning documents
- Independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working
- Organisational talent and the ability to coordinate several tasks and projects simultaneously
- Assertiveness, communication skills and enjoyment of teamwork
- Entrepreneurial thinking, sense of responsibility and a strong awareness of quality
