In Wengen, in the midst of the beautiful Bernese Oberland, we offer comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages and from all over the world in our Xundheitszentrum.
Our motivated and experienced team ensures not only general medical basic care but also the regional emergency medical service as well as the support of chronically ill and elderly people in the nursing home.
We are looking for a specialist in general internal medicine (80–100%) from June 2026 (or by arrangement).
Job Description
The job profile combines general practitioner activity with a versatile range of tasks in emergency medicine.
The position can also be limited to the winter season upon request.
Your tasks:
General practitioner care: Comprehensive care of patients of all ages in all areas of general medicine.
Emergency medicine, emergency service: Participation in the local medical emergency service, treatment of emergency patients in the practice as well as on site in close cooperation with ground and air rescue.
Nursing home: Continuous medical care of local patients in the nursing home in Lauterbrunnen.
Training: Active involvement in the training of assistant doctors, medical students and other medical professionals.
Medical service at major events: Participation in the organisation and implementation of medical service operations (International Lauberhorn races and other major events).
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Specialist in General Internal Medicine FMH or equivalent federally recognised diploma
- Interest and ideally experience in emergency medicine
- Commitment to patient-centred, interdisciplinary and team-oriented work
- Responsible, resilient and flexible personality
- German language skills; additional foreign languages are an advantage
- Enjoyment of living and working in an attractive mountain region
