Operations Mechanic 100% (m/f/d)

What is my role?

You are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of systems and machines in the plant. You analyse faults in systems and machines, assess their urgency, and rectify them. You carry out emergency repairs on operational and production equipment and take care of spare parts procurement as well as negotiations with suppliers for spare parts and technical innovations. You obtain quotes for new systems, collaborate on their implementation, and ensure subsequent maintenance. Additionally, you participate in project groups and technical optimisations, coordinate external service providers, and work within the fault reporting organisation in Gossau. Furthermore, you perform external service activities on dosing machines throughout Switzerland, both at internal sales points and external customers.

What do I need to be successful?

You have completed a basic technical education and bring experience as a polymechanic, production mechanic, operations mechanic, or in a similar profession. Experience in industrial maintenance, upkeep, or plant construction is advantageous. You enjoy practical fault finding, repairs, maintenance, and technical improvements and are characterised by an independent, reliable, and careful working style. Flexibility and resilience, even in the event of short-notice faults, are natural to you. You work cleanly and precisely according to regulations and guidelines, are a team player, and maintain pleasant manners. Networked and entrepreneurial thinking are among your strengths, and you are willing to undertake external service activities throughout Switzerland for about one day per week.
