The special needs day school of the Nathalie Foundation supports and cares for children and adolescents with complex developmental disorders (multiple disabilities, sensory disorders, and autism spectrum disorders).
For maternity cover in a Cycle 1 class, we are looking for a special needs educator from 1 January 2027 (or earlier depending on the course of the pregnancy) until early April 2027, at around 60% (one morning in team teaching).
Your tasks:
- You will share responsibility with your job partner for the individual support of four pupils in a Cycle 1 class
- You will plan your lessons independently and document according to internal guidelines
- You will maintain close communication with the other class teacher
- You will work constructively with the interdisciplinary team, the boarding school, and the parents
- You will supervise interns

You bring with you:
- A completed qualification in clinical or school special needs education or a teaching qualification with experience working with children with multiple disabilities
- An independent and flexible personality with humour, empathy, and team spirit
- Experience working with children with complex disabilities/ASD is an advantage
- Knowledge of the Affolter Model, TEACCH and/or AAC is desirable
