About the job

• Development and simulation of optical systems for industrial sensors
• Design and specification of optical components such as lenses and filters
• Evaluation and characterisation of optoelectronic transmitting and receiving components
• Collaboration on preliminary projects, feasibility studies and product developments
• Support for Industrial Engineering and production in optical matters

• University degree in photonics, physics or a comparable field
• Experience in the development and simulation of optical systems, ideally with ZEMAX
• Good knowledge of optoelectronic components such as lasers, LEDs and photodetectors
• Interest in interdisciplinary issues from optics, electronics and mechanics
• Knowledge of Python is an advantage
• Independent, structured working style and strong team skills
• Very good German and good English skills
