What you can look forward to.
In this role, you will work in a collegial team of around 14 employees. Together, you ensure the smooth operation of our plant and thus make an important contribution to a sustainable energy supply for the SBB. This hydroelectric power plant is one of several that reliably supply electricity for railway operations in Switzerland. You can learn more about SBB Energy via this link . Benefits such as a free GA travelcard, discounted travel abroad – also for family members – can be found on our website under Benefits .
What you will achieve.
- In this varied role, you are responsible for the maintenance of our energy production and distribution systems – from turbines to high and low voltage systems.
- You detect faults, analyse them precisely, and quickly and reliably restore the systems to operation.
- Together with the team, you support conversions and new constructions, carry out inspections, control rounds, maintenance, and targeted adjustments.
- When things need to be done quickly, you pitch in: defined on-call duties are part of your daily routine, and you work focused and efficiently even under time pressure.
- Safety is your top priority: you consistently implement regulations and thus ensure safe operation.
What you bring with you.
- Even in hectic situations, you act calmly and keep the essentials in view. You work independently, reliably, and are a valued member of a small, collegial team.
- Ideally, you have experience in the operation or maintenance of energy production and distribution systems – but this is not a must. More important are good IT skills (iPad, smartphone) and confident use of SAP and MS Office.
- You have completed vocational training in the electrical or mechanical field (e.g. agricultural or construction machinery mechanic, truck mechanic, automation technician, electrical installer, or similar training) and are willing to undertake plant-specific further training.
- You live in the region and can meet the specified intervention times of 45 minutes in case of on-call duty. A category B driving licence is required for this.
- Very good German language skills in spoken and written form (C1) are required; knowledge of a second national language is a plus.
