Schaffhausen is not only the headquarters of the Georg Fischer Group but also a very important production site. We are immediately looking for a CNC Turner and Miller (m/f/d) for one of our teams here, working in a two-shift system. Ideally, we are addressing a person with prior experience who appreciates performing this role in a modern production environment with a high degree of independence. Participation in the training of apprentices and the opportunity to actively contribute to QA initiatives and process improvements complete this varied role.
Your main tasks
- Professional and timely production of items through CNC-supported turning and milling
- Programming, setting up and monitoring CNC-supported turning and milling centres, as well as 5- and 3-axis milling machines (programming system Siemens NX, control Fanuc)
- Ensuring efficient machine utilisation through proper setup and safe handover of machines to operating personnel
- Responsibility for on-time, quality- and productivity-oriented manufacturing
- Close collaboration with production planning and work preparation regarding timely and technical implementation
- Continuous improvement of production processes, including securing through documentation
- Supervision of apprentice polymechanics in machining
Your profile
- Vocational training as a polymechanic, cutting machine mechanic, industrial mechanic or similar
- Ideally 3-5 years of experience with CNC machines (turning and milling)
- Experience in creating CNC programmes (preferably Siemens NX)
- Independent and proactive working style
- Motivation not only to comply with but also to improve processes and workflows
- Fluent German skills are essential, English skills are an advantage
