Job Description
As an educator within the establishment for minors and young adults "Les Léchaires", you participate in the two missions assigned to the penitentiary service: ensuring the supervision and monitoring of detainees and, more specifically, the mission of reintegration and prevention of recidivism among minors and young adults.
You are an integral part of the development of the identity of a dynamic institution and work within a multidisciplinary team. You guarantee a structured and reassuring living environment for detainees and ensure their physical, moral, and emotional integrity. Responsibilities
Ensure a structured and reassuring living environment for minor and young adult detainees, mainly in the cellular living units, particularly ensuring their physical, moral, and emotional integrity.
Implement individual socio-educational intervention strategies.
Actively contribute to the organisation of the daily functioning of the cellular living units.
Develop and write various educational reports, assessments, or recommendations requested by management or the Penal Authority.
Organise individual or group activities that meet both the interests of detainees and socio-educational objectives.

Qualifications
Holder of a diploma from a higher school (ES) in social education, childhood education, socio-professional master, community animation or a university of applied sciences (UAS) in social work, or equivalent.
Holders of a diploma from an ES or UAS in nursing with at least six months of professional experience as an educator in an educational establishment, child psychiatry, or care facility, or equivalent.
Experience with minors in a child psychiatric environment or a trainer practitioner title are assets.
Excellent writing skills.
Proficiency in common computer tools.
Knowledge of foreign languages is an asset.
Open-mindedness, excellent communication skills, strong emotional control and stress management.
Ability to work in the field of compulsory assistance.
Good mental and physical aptitude allowing adaptation to irregular hours and weekends.
Sense of observation, analysis, and synthesis.
Our employment conditions require that you are Swiss or hold a C permit, free of debt enforcement acts (an extract from the Debt Collection Office must be presented during the process), and your criminal record must be clean. There is a right to consult the criminal record under the Federal Law on the Criminal Record by the hiring authority for this position.
