Support Specialist Administration Social Assistance 80-100%, temporary (m/f/d)
Since March 2024, Caritas Switzerland has been operating asylum centers for families, individuals, and unaccompanied minors (UAM) at various locations in the canton of Zurich on behalf of the cantonal social office (KSA). The Social Work department is responsible for case management of persons in asylum care and public social assistance. We are looking for reinforcement to support the team across locations in the area of public social assistance administration.
Your tasks
- Cross-location support of social workers in administrative tasks
- Correspondence and documentation in the case management system Tutoris (data entry and filing)
- Assertion of third-party claims on behalf of social workers
- Preparation of economic social assistance payments in cooperation with the center administration
- Registration for the Housing Search Coaching (CWS) on behalf of social workers as well as cooperation with CWS in the housing search and support in obtaining necessary documents (rent confirmation, guarantee declaration, etc.)
- Preparation of requests for cost approval at the Cantonal Social Office
- Preparation of cost approvals on behalf of social workers
- Preparation of dossiers for handover to the Cantonal Social Office upon client exit
- Collaboration within the team, with other multidisciplinary services, and the network
- Active participation in team meetings, intervisions, and supervisions
- Ensuring compliance with cantonal requirements and Caritas Switzerland guidelines in the Administration department
Our requirements
- Commercial training EFZ
- Knowledge and experience in economic social assistance, ideally in economic social assistance in the asylum sector in the canton of Zurich
- Enjoyment and willingness to work at various locations
- Experience in cooperation with authorities
- Very good oral and written German skills and precise working style
- Very good IT skills in common MS Office programs, ideally with the case management software Tutoris
- Sense for collaboration, negotiation skills, and teamwork
- Efficient self-organization as a decentralized service
- Good communication skills, resilient, committed, and flexible
