The Office for Municipalities and Civil Rights includes the general and financial supervision of municipalities and the land registry system, the implementation of the cantonal financial equalization, as well as the execution of naturalization, name change, and adoption procedures, and the implementation of overarching tasks in civil status matters. The team of the cantonal land registry supervision provides information, conducts supervisory audits, issues directives, and acts as the licensing authority in the area of property acquisition by persons abroad.
We are looking for a
Specialist for Land Registry Supervision (m/f/d)
Starting July 1, 2026, or by agreement
Workload: 60 - 100 %
Workplace: St. Gallen
What to expect
- Case management and provision of information in the area of property acquisition by persons abroad
- Preparation of circulars, directives, and templates for land registry supervision
- Participation in the training and further education of land registry administrators
- Participation in the supervision of municipal land registry management, subject to qualification
- Support of land registry offices in complex land registry transactions, subject to suitability
- Participation in projects and the further development of digitalization
What distinguishes you
- Legal education (or willingness to acquire), such as land registry administrator license, legal agent license, or law studies (MLaw, lic.iur.)
- Experience in areas such as property acquisition by persons abroad, procedural law, corporate law, financial accounting, or property and land registry law is an advantage
- Interest in legal issues
- Precise working style
- Very good oral and stylistically confident written expression in German
- Reliable, trustworthy, solution-oriented, and a team player
