Road Service – Municipal Infrastructures and Public Spaces

The Municipality of Vucherens is looking for a Versatile Operations Agent at 100% to join its technical team.

In a small structure, you will contribute to the maintenance of buildings, public spaces and municipal infrastructures, in a varied role requiring versatility, autonomy and a sense of service.

Your main tasks

Maintenance and upkeep of municipal buildings and infrastructures

• Ensure the maintenance, upkeep and minor repairs of municipal buildings, their exteriors, sports facilities as well as operational equipment;
• Provide services related to the rental of rooms and municipal spaces.

Roads, cleanliness and waste management

• Ensure the general maintenance of the Municipality, cleanliness and enhancement of public spaces (flowers and decorations);
• Ensure the maintenance and supervision of the municipal waste disposal site, notably the Saturday duty on a rota basis, as well as the collection and removal of municipal waste.

Support for municipal activities

• Participate in the organisation of municipal events (setup, logistical support and site restoration);
• Participate in municipal services related to funeral services;
• Provide occasional support to other departments, notably for forestry maintenance work;
• Assist the supervisor of the drinking water network.

Specificities of the position

• Participation in the winter on-call service on a rota basis, requiring interventions outside usual hours in case of snow or ice (snow clearing, salting and securing municipal access points);
• Occasional interventions outside usual hours, notably for the inspection of installations during room rentals.

Your profile

• Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as Operations Agent (road or concierge option), technical/building CFC or proven practical experience in a similar field;
• Versatile, reliable and organised person, with a good sense of responsibility;
• Ability to work independently and take initiative;
• Service-oriented, good interpersonal skills and team spirit;
• Good physical condition and interest in varied outdoor work;
• Category B driving licence essential; handling machine licence an advantage;
• Residence in the Municipality or immediate vicinity to ensure winter service and urgent interventions;
• Good command of spoken and written French;
• Comfortable with common office tools;
• Valid work authorisation in Switzerland.
