Presentation
The Institute for Political Studies of the Social Sciences Faculty is recruting a postdoctoral SNF Researchers to join the research team of the project ‘Hybrid Infrastructure Policies for the 21st century : Towards Green and Digital Economy (HIP21)’, funded by the Swiss National Fund. The project analyzes the evolution of European Union energy/electricity and digital infrastructure policies. The selected candidate will be in charge of the EU energy/electricity policy.

Starting date : 01.01.26 or shortly thereafter
Contract length : 20 months (1 year contract, renewable for 8 months, possibly renewable a second time for up to 27 months maximum in total)
Employment rate : 70%
Working place : Lausanne-Dorigny, Gepolis (part time homeworking is possible)
Salary : SNF postdoctoral researcher salary levels
Your responsibilities
The selected candidate will take part in the above-mentioned research project and contribute to its implementation in the field of energy and electricity policy. His·her main responsibilities will include conducting qualitative data collection through document analysis and interviews. The candidate will also play an active role in the analysis and dissemination of findings, including the publication of results in academic journals and other scientific outlets.
Your qualifications
- Doctoral degree in social/political sciences, ideally in public policy or EU politics sub-fields.
- Strong command of European Union policy and/or energy/electricity policies.
- Strong command of cognitive approaches to policy analysis would be an asset
- Strong skills in qualitative methods and data collection. Skills or at least an interest in quantitative methods is an asset.
- Excellent relational skills, collaborative attitude, as well as being able to take initiatives and work autonomously.
- An excellent command of English, both written and oral, is required. Good level in French is an asset.
