Clinic for Internal Medicine, Palliative Care
Your Tasks and Perspectives
- Patient support: crisis intervention, psychological assessment, assistance with adjustment processes and coping with illness, resource activation as well as end-of-life care
- Music therapy: complementing therapeutic conversation on a non-verbal, body-related level with the aims of relaxation, calming, distraction, pain relief and resource discovery
- Work with relatives and team support: crisis intervention, psychoeducation and stabilisation in the illness and farewell process, brief interventions and professional impulses for staff in stressful situations
- Interdisciplinary collaboration: close exchange in the weekly report with doctors, nursing, chaplaincy, physiotherapy and social work; joint case management
- Documentation: daily, structured entries in the patient documentation system according to quality standards
What You Bring to This Position
- Completed university degree in psychology (completed federally recognised psychotherapy training desired)
- Further training and experience in psycho-oncology
- Further training and experience in music therapy
- Experience in palliative care and/or oncology desired
- Committed, resilient, flexible and team-oriented personality with high social competence and initiative
