Your mission:
You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of our entire network infrastructure. To enable you to carry out this task independently and competently, you will be trained as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP) as part of a two-year induction and training programme. Your tasks:
Monitoring, operating, and maintaining our network infrastructure and various network services
Handling disruptions and initiating immediate measures as 2nd level support
Administering the network landscape, including implementing and documenting changes, following existing procedures
Implementing network solutions in collaboration with network engineering
Participating in projects and leading sub-projects
Taking part in 24/7 on-call duty, night work, and nationwide assignments
What we are looking for:
Apprenticeship in telematics / computer science or equivalent training in the network sector
Advantageous: Several years of experience in the operation and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures
Specialized knowledge in the areas of TCP/IP required and knowledge of Extreme/Avaya, Cisco, Nokia and Infoblox is an advantage
Teamwork: You engage in interactions with diverse team members and actively contribute information, ideas, and insights in meetings or other interactions
Problem solving: You seek accurate information to analyse problems, break down complex issues into manageable parts, and approach solutions in a systematic and structured way
Willingness to work throughout Switzerland, on-call duty and occasional night work (driving license cat. B)
Swiss citizenship required for access to military facilities
Native French speaker, English at least level B2, German optional
