About the job
Company Description
With more than 13,000 employees representing 160 professions, the University Hospitals of Geneva are a nationally and internationally recognised institution. To learn more about our organisation, take a few minutes to watch our 2025 retrospective by clicking here .
With nearly 1,500 employees, the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics (DRG) is a medical centre focused on the elderly and is spread across 5 sites: Trois-Chêne, Loëx, Bellerive, Beau-Séjour and Joli-Mont. It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency department of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific issues, medical rehabilitation and palliative care.
The Joli-Mont Clinic receives patients for follow-up treatment of medical and surgical pathologies, notably orthopaedic. It offers multidisciplinary care focused on rehabilitation, integrating the specificities of the elderly person, physical and psychological symptoms, as well as the patients’ medico-social problems. The aim of the stay is to restore autonomy for a safe return home. The Clinic also receives patients in palliative care in a dedicated unit, as well as people awaiting placement in nursing homes.
Job Description
Your ease in human relations, empathy and diplomacy enable you to ensure and guarantee all patient transport services within the Joli-Mont clinic, always ensuring the comfort of elderly patients and strictly respecting hygiene and safety rules.
As part of your activity, you are responsible daily for transporting patients as well as transporting equipment (orders, mattresses…).
You also manage auxiliary means (wheelchairs) dedicated to the Joli-Mont reception.
You work closely with the logistics manager. In this context, you assist them with certain tasks such as installing anti-bedsore mattresses, changing filters, dispatching equipment orders. Occasionally, you handle equipment orders in their absence.
You are a motivated person, physically fit and demonstrate a strong sense of collaboration allowing you to work effectively in a team.
Qualifications
You have post-compulsory education (a Federal VET Diploma is an asset).
You have a good command of computer tools and the French language (spoken and written).
Experience in the hospital field is an advantage.
If you are a rigorous person, open to change, with good organisational skills allowing you to handle several simultaneous demands while keeping a smile, and you know how to work autonomously while appreciating collaboration in a multidisciplinary team.
