Job Objective
As a Workplace & Support Engineer, you will have the opportunity to actively contribute to the design and evolution of the working IT environment of tomorrow for all employees of our laboratory group.
You develop and evolve our working IT environment (Workplace), evaluate new technologies and solutions, and contribute, together with your colleagues, to ensuring a modern, reliable, secure and high-performance environment.
You work closely with our Workplace technicians, engineers, other specialised IT areas as well as with our external partners.
Your impact in this role
- Lifecycle Management of the Windows client environment and IGEL (Levels 2 and 3),
- Configuration and development of our client management solutions,
- Participation in the management of the Active Directory / GPO lifecycle (design, maintenance, troubleshooting),
- Evaluation and standardisation of Workplace hardware and printing environments, as well as collaboration with external partners,
- Development and maintenance of PowerShell automations for Workplace/user processes,
- Leading or participating in IT Workplace projects, technical improvements and special tasks,
- Training and supporting our 1st level technicians for more complex Workplace topics,
- Performing maintenance tasks as well as managing IT assets and technical documentation.
Your background and expertise
- Completed training as an IT specialist (CFC) or equivalent qualification,
- At least 3 years of professional experience in a comparable role,
- Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Workplace environment, especially Active Directory and Group Policy Objects (GPO),
- Ideally, experience with IGEL / Thin Client environments and client management solutions,
- Fluency in French and good knowledge of English enabling easy communication. Knowledge of German is an advantage,
- Service-oriented, analytical and solution-focused person who enjoys taking responsibility and sustainably solving technical challenges,

- Curiosity and willingness to continuously develop yourself.
