Lawyer in Construction Law

Would you like to apply your legal expertise where law and demanding construction projects directly intersect? Our legal service functions like an in-house legal department and supports our client representatives in all construction law matters.

Your tasks

• You advise our project managers and the executive management on private and public construction law issues – especially in procurement procedures and contract matters such as claims for additional costs, defects and fee disputes.
• You independently manage court proceedings and represent the interests of the Building Department.
• You participate in interdisciplinary projects and working groups of the Building Department or the Building Directorate.
• You draft well-founded opinions and proposals for internal and external bodies.
• You are responsible for the legal service matters of the office and collaborate on legislative projects.

Your profile

• You have a completed law degree (MLaw) and preferably also a lawyer’s licence.
• You bring several years of professional experience in private and public construction law, especially in contract and procurement law.
• As part of a small team, you enjoy working independently and autonomously.
• To advise our project managers and executive management optimally, you have a good sense for target-group-appropriate and concise communication.
• You keep an overview both in short-term issues and in longer-running proceedings and pursue your topics consistently.

What to expect

With us, you will find a legal role with exceptional professional breadth: You accompany public procurement procedures for cantonal construction projects and simultaneously advise on private law contract, fee and liability issues. Through close collaboration with our project managers, you are close to the construction projects and experience directly how your legal advice is put into practice.
