Specialist in Paediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF150,000 - 210,000Role:
In this role, as a specialist in paediatrics and adolescent medicine, you will take on the outpatient primary care of children and adolescents and actively shape high-quality paediatrics. You will work closely in an interdisciplinary medical centre with general practitioners and medical practice assistants, contributing your expertise to the shared daily treatment routine. Within the specialty, you are responsible for the continuous care of patients and sound medical decision-making. Additionally, you contribute your specialist knowledge to the professional development of the centre and implement current paediatric standards effectively in practice.
Responsibilities:
- You provide primary care for children and adolescents in the practice.
- In this role, you conduct preventive examinations, vaccinations, and developmental neurological checks.
- As a medical professional for children and adolescents, you diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses.
- You document findings and progress in a structured manner in the digital medical record and use imaging techniques such as ultrasound and digital X-rays.
- In this role, you ensure clear, age-appropriate communication with children, adolescents, and their caregivers and coordinate interdisciplinary assessments.
- As a medical professional for children and adolescents, you work closely with medical practice assistants and engage in quality development and team meetings.
Qualifications:
- Completed specialist training in paediatrics and adolescent medicine (FMH or equivalently recognised)
- Several years of clinical experience in paediatrics, ideally in outpatient primary care
- Recognition for independent medical practice in Switzerland or clear willingness to obtain it
- Very good German language skills, spoken and written, for secure communication with children, parents, and professionals
- Strong willingness to independently manage your own patient base and work long-term in the outpatient sector
- Knowledge of digital medical records, practice information systems, and experience in interprofessional collaboration and practice diagnostics are advantageous
