Cafeteria & Buffet Staff with Additional Responsibilities 60-80%

SONNHALDE in Grüningen is a psychiatric care and support centre with around 300 residents of various ages. As part of Peter di Gallo Unternehmungen AG, we employ over 320 staff across 14 wards.

For our cafeteria, we are looking from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement for a committed and warm-hearted person who lives hospitality, enjoys taking responsibility, and contributes to a good atmosphere with their positive nature.

Our cafeteria is an important meeting place for residents, relatives, staff and external guests. Together with your team, you ensure that our guests feel welcome and well cared for.

Your tasks include:

• Warm greeting, care and hospitality for our guests
• Ensuring cleanliness and order at the workplace – independently and continuously
• Professional and appealing presentation of food and drinks
• Preparation of hot and cold drinks as well as snacks
• Operation and cash register accounting using TC-POS
• Independent preparation and organisation of mise en place
• Ordering, replenishing and attractive presentation of products
• Participation in special events
• With enthusiasm and attention to detail – you can convincingly recommend the cafeteria offerings
• Ensuring workplace hygiene as well as general tidying and cleaning tasks

Your additional responsibility

In addition to the classic tasks in the cafeteria and dining room, we are looking for a person who gladly takes on extra responsibility. Even in busy situations, you keep an overview, independently recognise where support or additional organisation is needed, and actively contribute to a professional and warm appearance of our cafeteria with your host mentality.

With your positive, solution-oriented approach, you actively contribute to the team, provide impulses and motivate others to ensure high service quality and lived hospitality together. You also monitor stock levels and independently ensure the appropriate ordering of goods from our suppliers.

• Completed training as a restaurant specialist, hospitality and housekeeping professional, or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in gastronomy, service or hospitality
• Strong host mentality and enjoyment in contact with different people
• High sense of responsibility and willingness to show initiative
• Friendly, professional and service-oriented demeanour
• Independent, clean and efficient working style
• Team-oriented personality who actively contributes and keeps an overview even in hectic situations
• Very good German language skills
• Willingness to work regular weekends
