Job Description
- Welcome guests according to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards
- Ensure that assigned tables are set according to defined standards
- Know our products including menu, daily specials, daily wines…
- Respect service sequences without forgetting precedence
- Ensure customer satisfaction at all times
- Use suggestive selling techniques and highlight products indicated by the Maître d’Hôtel in charge
- Take orders
- Carve meat and fish if necessary, serve wine in the absence of the sommelier
- Clear tables and tidy the room, sort laundry and take it down to the laundry room
Qualifications
- Ideally three years of experience
- French, English, and Italian languages desired
- Ability to work in a team
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to focus attention on customer needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
