Tasks:
- provide orientation counseling to users who contact the service, either spontaneously or by mandate; in the accompaniment, adopt appropriate counseling methods, models, and approaches based on psychological evidence, current and proven effective. Integrate the personal situation, life stage, biographical transitions, and the user's cultural, social, and educational context into the counseling. Collaborate and communicate with all different interlocutors and partners
- establish a trust relationship with users by creating and maintaining a solid work alliance focused on process and results. Use a person-centered, neutral, independent approach, compliant with the professional ethical standards and confidentiality principles
- select and use validated, effective, and innovative diagnostic and work tools according to the user's needs and situation, respecting efficiency principles
- individually and continuously monitor the situation of young people finishing compulsory school; collaborate and support during the decision-making phase
- prepare reports in case of mandates, in accordance with the provisions of collaboration agreements with partners
- design, implement, and promote informational meetings and training sessions to raise awareness about choices, career management, or related topics concerning school, professional, university, and career orientation
- participate in the development of internal innovation projects within the Office. Upon management request, take on mandates for commissions and working groups at the cantonal, intercantonal, and federal levels related to school, professional, university, and career orientation. Other activities may be assigned based on skills, interests, competencies, or service needs
- continuously update own skills and knowledge by attending, with management approval, advanced and continuing education courses to maintain and improve the quality of professional practice; critically reflect on specific competencies and develop them
Requirements:
- recognized counselor diploma by SEFRI or in training to obtain it; otherwise, the candidate must have acquired a first recognized and complete university degree in psychology and be willing to obtain a SEFRI-recognized counselor diploma (training available only in French or German)
- direct and specific experience in the field of orientation in Switzerland, both with adolescent and adult users, is a clear advantage
- strong interpersonal, organizational, and adaptability skills
- excellent collaboration, mediation skills, and predisposition for teamwork and networking
- initiative and autonomy in work, sense of responsibility and reliability
- good knowledge of the territory, economic and social reality of the Canton and service region
- excellent knowledge of the Swiss education system and its peculiarities
- proficiency in Italian and basic knowledge of other official languages with mastery of at least one (French or German)
- predisposition to public speaking and interacting with different age groups
- good knowledge of the Windows operating system and MS Office package

- start date: approximately April 1, 2026
- employment relationship: mandate under articles 15 and 16 LORD until December 31, 2028

Employment conditions:
