About the job
The Schaffhausen Hospitals include the Cantonal Hospital, the Psychiatric Services, the Radiology and Cardiology Posthof Neuhausen practices, as well as the Neurology Practice Schaffhausen Centre. With over 1,700 employees, we ensure the extended medical and nursing basic care of the Schaffhausen region. Annually, we care for approximately 11,000 inpatients and 90,000 outpatients. Additionally, we are an important training institution in the canton.
We are looking for a clinical pharmacist FPH or a specialist hospital pharmacist for our committed and well-coordinated team from 1 January 2027 or by arrangement.
Our hospital pharmacy ensures the supply of the Schaffhausen Hospitals with medicines and medical products. Cytostatics or mixtures for parenteral pain therapy are individually prepared for patients. Discharged or outpatient patients can redeem their prescriptions at the in-house public pharmacy. The clinical pharmacists support the medical staff in choosing drug therapies and advise on dosage adjustments or interactions.
In the future, all prescriptions are to be pharmaceutically validated within the framework of Unit Dose. For this purpose, we are creating a new position and are looking for you to strengthen our team!

What Awaits You
- Participation in the development and implementation of pharmaceutical prescription validation
- Involvement in interdisciplinary projects within the hospital
- Handling inquiries about medicines and medical products as well as validation of orders outside the assortment
- Co-responsibility for the quality management of the hospital pharmacy
- Participation in the daily business of the hospital pharmacy without on-call duty
What You Bring to Us
- Completed studies in pharmacy as well as specialist title in clinical pharmacy FPH, further training as a specialist hospital pharmacist is an advantage
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary exchange and collaboration with various professional groups
