Welcome to the fascinating world of taxes! The cantonal tax office, together with the municipal tax offices, collects taxes for the federal government, the canton, and the municipalities. We support private individuals and companies throughout the entire tax collection process. Around 800 qualified employees are committed to this at the location in Zurich Altstetten.
As an IT Security Specialist, you will take on tasks with sustainable relevance for the canton of Zurich in this newly created role. Over one million private individuals and companies entrust us annually with their highly sensitive tax data, which is processed by more than 2,500 cantonal and municipal employees using 90 specialized applications. In this key position, you will work together with the information security officer to ensure the availability and protection of tax data.
Your tasks
- You convey to your colleagues in the IT department a methodical and practical implementation of information security.
- For this purpose, you introduce practical working methods to comply with external information security requirements.
- You create risk analyses, identify potential vulnerabilities, and investigate security incidents in IT.
- You define both technical and organizational protective measures and ensure their effectiveness.
- You communicate with various departments within the tax office – at different levels up to management.
Your profile
- You have several years of experience in information security with a focus on IT.
- You hold a university degree in computer science, management, business administration, or a comparable field. Certifications such as CISSP or CISM are an advantage.
- You understand how to transfer complex issues in a structured and systematic way into practical solutions.
- Your conceptual thinking is well-founded and proven in practice.
- Your initiative, service orientation, and confident German language skills in spoken and written form complete your profile.
