Head of Strategic Asset Management (all)

About the job

In this central shaping role within the Networks business unit, you and your team are responsible for the long-term orientation of asset management. You develop strategies, methods, and decision-making bases for an economical, future-proof, and regulatory-compliant network development and ensure coordination with network economics, regulation, and corporate strategy.

• Leadership of the Strategic Asset Management team
• Development, maintenance, and implementation of asset management strategies
• Responsibility for short-, medium-, and long-term network planning including target network definition and scenarios
• Assessment of technical connection requests (TAG) from a systemic and strategic perspective
• Derivation of long-term investment, renewal, and maintenance strategies based on condition, risk, and economic analyses
• Medium- and long-term investment and maintenance planning including project evaluation and maintenance of unit prices
• Definition and further development of KPIs for asset performance as well as monitoring of network development
• Further development of data-based approaches (e.g., Maintenance 4.0, Predictive Maintenance, scenario models)
• Close coordination with network economics regarding long-term cost development, tariff eligibility, and regulatory requirements
• Provision of reliable decision-making bases for investments, budget planning, and strategic initiatives

• (Technical) university degree in electrical engineering, energy technology, industrial engineering, or comparable
• Several years of experience in the energy sector, especially in network planning, strategic asset management, or system development
• Good knowledge of regulatory frameworks and their impact on investment decisions
• Experience with asset management methods (e.g., risk-based, condition-based)
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as high data affinity
• Leadership personality with innovative strength and strategic foresight
• High decision-making ability in uncertain and complex scenarios
• Strong communication and persuasion skills towards internal and external stakeholders
• High initiative and willingness to shape in a dynamic environment
